What Exactly Is A Blackout Blind?

A blackout blind is made from a thicker material than a standard blind which prevents light from filtering through into your room. Roller blinds, roman blinds, vertical blinds and Velux blinds can be purchased with blackout materials. A blackout blind does not have to be black or made from dark material.  Your choice of colours and patterns is just as varied for blackout blinds as standard blinds.


Blackout blinds are perfect for a child's bedroom especially in Scotland when the days get longer and you are trying to get them to sleep early or not to wake up at 5am! Not only are they available in lots of bright colours but also a wide range of patterns.
